Image Fusion TM and SPOT5,Classification of Land Use and Comparison of Accuracy Assessment——Taking Chaoyao District as an Example

XIAO Han (China University of Geosciences(Beijing),Beijing 100083)  
Fusing TM and SPOT5 image in ERDAS Imagine,this paper classifies the TM image and the image after fusion,compares the accuracy of classification,and finally analyzes it by using qualitative and quantitative method. It includes detailed working steps and completed assessment report.Experimental results show that image fusion can improve the accuracy of image classification,and classification based on image fusion has vast application prospect in the surveying and map update,land use and city planning,ecological environment monitoring,and government decision-making,etc.
