SPATIAL STRUCTURE AND MARKETING PAT-TERN OF LARGE RETAIL BUSINESS IN XI’AN
Taking the large retail companies in Xi’an as examples, this paper makes qualitative and quantitative analysis of the spatial structure and mar- keting pattern of the companies based on the survey data. First, it divides the city into five areas which are the downtown, the east area, west area, north area and south area. Then it compares the supply, sales volume and operation efficiency of the retail compa- nies in the five areas and makes an overlay analysis on the spatial distribution of retail companies with that of commercial residential houses. At last, it gives suggestions on the distribution and pattern of retail business in Xi’an.
