DEVELOPMENT OF DRAINAGE PLANNING IN VIEW OF FREQUENT URBAN WATERLOGGING DISASTERS

This paper analyzes the causes of urban waterlogging disaster from perspectives of the urban planning, the land use layout, and the special drainage planning. Based on the advanced concepts and successful practical experiences abroad, the paper conducts a thorough analysis on the storm water planning from aspects including system composition, planning concepts, planning standards, planning methods, and institutional construction, before putting forward the development thoughts for drainage planning and the planning countermeasures for prevention of urban waterlogging disasters. The paper also introduces the concept of establishing large drainage system in particular both in theory and with practical examples.
