Numerical Analysis of Temperature Field of Aluminum Alloy Die Casting Dies

The temperature field of aluminum alloy die casting dies during high pressure die casting process has been simulated with PROCAST.The boundary conditions and the latent heat of heat transfer system have been treated by heat-enthalpy method.The temperature distribution of mould at different times has been simulated.The effect of different pouring and preheat temperature on the temperature fields of the die have been revealed.The temperature gradient has been obtained to predict the thermal stresses concentration and to optimize the casting process parameters.The effect of water cooling tubes in the dies has been simulated.It is a fundamental job for simulation of thermal stress of die.
