Experimental Comparative Research on Two Mounting Components

Aim\ In order to isolate the inflnence of the vibration of an armored high power diesel on the frame and the body effectively and satisfy the installation reliability, a high efficient isolator should be chosen reasonably to decrease the vibration and noise. Methods\ Static and dynamic characteristics on two mounting components (a rubber isolator and a steel wire isolator) are simulated and tested to forecast the isolating capabilities and the vibration of the diesel after the isolator was installed. Results\ Two mounting components were compared and analyzed in experiments. Conclusion\ It is estimated primarily that steel wire isolators are better than rubber absorbers to satisfy the isolation requirement for the armored high power diesel engine.
