Concentration Measurement of Oil-Water Two-Phase Flow in Electrical Capacitance Tomography System

The electrical capacitance tomography(ECT) system of 8-electrode oil-water two-phase flow is investigated and the measuring principle of the system is analyzed.The mathematic model of the phase concentration distribution in the system is established based on double integral.The concentration measurement of oil-water two-phase flow can be accomplished by the ART image reconstruction.The quality of image reconstruction and the calculating accuracy of content are improved by introducing a threshold in the ART algorithm,and the measurement error of about 1% can be reached.The method can well solve many defects existed in other measurement methods,such as low speed,high cost,and poor security and so on.Therefore,it offers a new approach for the concentration measurement of oil-water two-phase flow.
