A Quartz Crystal Microbalance Gas Detection System Based on Microcontroller

The principle and detection methods of QCM(Quartz Crystal Microbalance) has been discussed,and then has been introduced a reference QCM compensation to minimize measurement errors.It also proposes a low cost QCM gas detection system based on MSP430F112 microcontroller.The details about the hardware architecture and software design of this gas detection system are illustrated.To verify rationality of the system,a QCM ammonia sensor is fabricated based on polyanilne,and its performance is tested by the system.The results show that,along with QCM sensor,the system can be used to detect gas concentration.
