Comments on the gradient's impact mechanism during a railway tunnel fire

Tunnel fire caused by the impact of tunnel's gradient was numerically simulated,taking Shiziyang tunnel for an example,and the temperature,visibility and characteristics of the spread of smoke in the tunnel was analyzed when fire happened,the result shows that the sharper the gradient of tunnel is,the greater impact the spread of smoke will become,and there is a critical value of the mutation.The length caused by smoke came back and spread to the largest section as a result of internal and external temperature difference arising from the chimney effect.Amendments for impact factor of gradient for the critical wind speed in critical wind speed formula was put forward which provides references for research of tunnel fire and formulation of personnel evacuation under fire.
