Three-dimensional numerical simulations of water waves generated by landslides and its propagation process

According to the N-S equation,the free surface elevation is tracked with VOF method,based on the fluid simulation calculation software FLOW3D water waves caused by the landslides and its propagation process,and numerical results are compared with experimental results.The result shows that the water waves caused by the landslides and its propagation rule can be well simulated by the numerical model.On this basis,the wave height of different angle located at the same radiu and different radiu located at the same angle are discussed,and the changes of the velocity field and free surface elevation at different time is also discussed.In this numerical experiment,water waves caused by the collapse of the dams can be well simulated.This will provide an important reference value for the design of the dams and the prevention of disasters due to water waves caused by landslide.
