Computation of structural reliability of long-span rigid form bridge based on the support vector machine

In order to cope with the problems that the limit state equations can not be displayed and expressed in the solving process of structural system reliability of long span bridge,a method for computation of the reliability based on the support vector machine classification technique is proposed.Gathering a certain number of samples by using the Latin hypercube sampling method and with the finite element calculation,the proposed method can find the same number of couples of new samples that is on both sides of the classification of surface nearly,by changing the data of load.Using the new samples,the method can construct a precise SVM classification function.The numerical simulation and computation of the system failure probability are accordingly carried out by using the Monte Carlo method.By way of examples of a long-span rigid form bridge in Sichuan,the practicability of the method for computation of the system reliability of long span bridge is verified.
