The Research of Substituting GPS Leveling for the Fourth-Grade Leveling in a Mountain Area

In mountainous regions,fourth-grade leveling wastes man′s power and time because of the bumpiness of the ridgeway.GPS positioning technology can rapidly present the geodesic Latitude,Longitude,and height of control point.With a few height points been known,the results obtained by using the method of height difference′s fitting and analysis can meet the precision of fourth grade leveling.
