Problems and Countermeasures of the Rural Pre-school Education in the Course of Urbanization

SHAO Ming-xing (School of Education, Southwest University, Chongqing 400715,China)  
During China's urbanization process, the development of rural pre-school education is facing such problems as insufficient public kindergartens, the poor conditions of kindergartens, low level of faculty and funding scarcity, etc. To properly resolve these problems of rural pre-school education, we should combine the "quantity" and the "quality" of the rural pre-school education in the following aspects. First, the government should make its responsibilities clear. Second, rural pre-school quality resources should be expanded. Third, rural nursery funding channels should be broadened to improve the kindergarten conditions. Lastly,efforts should be made to improve the quality of teachers.
