Optimization of the Conditions for Mulberry Genetic Transformation Mediated by Agrobacterium Tumefaciens

In this paper,several factors which affecting genetic transformation of mulberry mediated by agrobacterium tumefaciens were studied.It showed that the strain of LBA4404 was more efficient than that of C58Cl.The transformation frequency were different among the explants,such as leaves discs,shoots and calli,it 8.7%,5.6% and 2.8% respectively.The consistence of agrobacteria,the time of dipping the leaves discs of the mulberry in the agrobacteria and the co cultivation time had some effects on the transformation frequency.In addition,AgNO 3 had prominence stimulation to the transformation of mulberry.
