Structural damage detection method based on effective modal strain energy

By discussing the methods based on modal strain energy,complete modal strain energy and Effective structural damage detection method,a new structural damage detection method,namely,Effective Complete Modal Strain Energy Method(ECMSE),was proposed in this paper.In ECMSE,considering the high order of structural parameter modification,the higher modes term was expressed approximately by lower modes.Numerical experimental results illustrate that this method is simple and satisfying precision is obtained.
