Effects of Tasux chinensis var.mairei Extracts on Wheat Seed's Germination and Seedlings Growth

In this study,culture dish methods with filter paper were used to study the effects of T.chinensis var.mairei extracts on wheat seed's germination and seedling growth.The results showed that T.chinensis var.mairei extracts had significant effects on wheat seed's germination.T.chinensis var.mairei extracts of lower concentration could promote seed's germination,while higher concentration extracts could inhibit seed's germination.Wheat seed germination rate was highest when the concentration of the extract reached to 6 g/mL.T.chinensis var.mairei leaf extract significantly inhibited the growth of wheat seedling roots.While the extract concentration increased,the length of wheat fibrous roots gradually decreased,but the number of adventitious roots increased.When the extract concentration reached to 10 g/mL,the inhibition rate of root length was 42.48%.The ANOVA showed that there were a significant inhibition on the growth of wheat root for T.chinensis var.mairei leaf extracts.The stem growth,root and stem biomass of wheat seedlings were promoted in the low concentration extracts,but inhibited in high concentrations extracts of T.chinensis var.mairei.The results showed that T.chinensis var.mairei extracts could promote seed germination,increase the number of fibrous roots,biomass of wheat in low concentration,but inhibited in the high concentrations.Root length growth was significantly inhibited.
