STABILITY ANALYSIS OF QUALITY AND YIELD TRAITS IN WHAET

According to Tai's model and method,the genotypic stability values of Six characters including protein content,protein yield,grain yield,1000— kernel weight,protein content/kernel and glassiness were analysed for eleven wheat cultivars(or lines)grown in the 1983—1984 Regional Trial of the North Late-maturing Winter Wheat Area and the comparison of protein content in grain with that in flour was made.The results showed that the genotype×en- vironment interactions for protein content were significant,that the protein content of any cultivar was not significantly related to the values of its sta- bility and that protein yield was consistent with grain yield but not with pr- otein content in their stability values.
