cAMP Contents of Zizyphus jujuba Mill.Zizyphus spinosus Hu. and Other Twelve Horticural Plants

By the aid of protein binding assay, cAMP contents of 14 kinds of horticultural plants, 44 kinds of cultivars of Chinese jujube (Zizyphuz jujuba Mill. ) and 59 kinds of cultivars (forms) of wild jujube Z. zpinozuz (Bunge) Hu.) were detemined. The results showed that cAMP content varied with species, cultivar, organ, tissue and age; relative amounts of different tissues of the same plant changed with phenological period, cAMP contents in mature flesh of Z. jujuba Mill. and Z. zpinozuz (Bunge) Hu (38.05+50.09and23.87±31.76nmol/g·fw, respectively) were much higher than other test materials and were in the first rank in higher plants. The highest cAMP content found in this test was 302.50nmol/g·fw. which was also the highest one in higher plants.
