Effect of Men-myco-93-63 and Its Fermentation Liquid on the Growth of Verticillium dahliae Strains of Cotton

Liu Daqun; Yang Wenxiang; Qi Bishu ;Wang Chaohua (Department of Plant Pathology, Hebei Agricultural University, Baoding 071001)
The T-9 and V-h strains of Verticillium dahliae of cotton were treated by Men myco-93-63 and its fermentation liquid by using the inhibition zone and pathogen disc growth methods. The results demonstrated that either Men-myco-93-63 or its fermentation liquid had strong inhibition activity against growth of the V. dahliae strains, and had also reduced the growth rate of the pathogen greatly. The inhibition activity of Men-myco-93-63 and its fermentation liquid against the pathogen strains were different. It was observed in the study that the fermentation liquid of Men-myco-93-63 had dissolved mycelia of the pathogen.
