A study on the photosynthetic characteristics of young persimmon trees

Studies on the photosynthetic features were given to four persimmon varieties using an American photosynthetic apparatus CI 301 PS. The results showed that light saturation point of the tree species was 1 051～1 380 μ mol·m· -2 ·s -1 , and light compensation point was 25～42 μ mol·m -2 ·s -1 . Variations in net photosynthetic rate were found both among the leaves at different shoot positions of the same variety and different varieties. The daily variation curve of net photosynthetic rate of the tree was measured as a noon decreasing shape with double peaks, the highest peak appeared at 10:00,and the sub peak at 16:00. The annual variation of net photosynthetic rate also showed a double peak curve,but the peak values of the given varieties were different.
