The effects of VA mycorrhizae on P, Zn, Fe absorption of wild jujube (Zizyphus spinosus Hu) seedlings

Pot experiments were carried out to study the effect of VAM on P, Zn, Fe absorption of wild jujube (Zizyphus spinosus Hu) seedlings. The pots had three compartments, a central compartment for root growth separated by 30μm mesh nets from two outer compartments for mycorrhizal hyphae growth. The results showed that VAM could improve P and Zn amount of plant. With the increase of P concentration in the outer compartments soil, hyphal uptake of P increased. But the effect of VAM colonization on Fe-concentration in plant was not definite.
