A comparison of differences between Qingdao Laminaria japonica and Ningbo Laminaria japonica

A study on differences among general compositions of Laminaria japonica of south China (producing area:Ningbo) and north China (producing area:Qingdao) has been made in this paper. The result shows that the difference of areas has great influence on the compositions of Laminaria japonica. The main differences for composition are that Ningbo L. japonica contains more crude protein, iodine and algin than Qingdao L. japonica does, but the content of Fucoidan and mannite in Ningbo L. japonica are much less.
