Quantitative character analysis and cluster analysis of 37 pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata Duch) inbred-lines

Eight quantitative characters including average vine length between two nodes,diameter of main vine,leaf length,leaf width,petiole length,petiole diameter,site of the first pistil late flower on main vine of nodes,number of pistil late flower nodes of main vine below 20~(th) node and pistil late flower diameter of 37 pumpkin inbred-lines were investigated and analyzed statistically.The result showed that there was difference for all pumpkin characters coefficient of variation,and 69.15% was the biggest of number of pistil late flower nodes of main vine below 20~(th) node,but the smallest was 12.00% of petiole length.site of the first pistil late flower on main vine of nodes had a negative correlation with the number of pistil late flower nodes of main vine below 20th node very significantly,diameter of main vine and petiole had significant negative correlation with the site of the first pistil late flower on main vine of nodes,petiole diameter had significant correlation with the number of pistil late flower nodes of main vine below 20~(th) node.This 37 pumpkin inbred-lines could be classified to 2 groups and 4 types.
