Influence of soil factors on arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal infections of four legumes species in Maowusu sandy land

AN Xiu-juan,HE Xue-li(College of Life Science,Hebei University,Baoding 071002,China)  
Four host plants Hedysarum scoparium,Hedysarum mongolicum,Thermopsis lanceolata and Sophora alopecuroides were investigated and analyzed relative to soil factors and symbioses in Maowusu sandy land.The results showed that the better symbioses relation was formed between AM fungi and 4 host plants,the average total colonization rate of AM fungi was 77.19% and the average spore density was 223.7/100g soil.The colonization and spore density of AM fungi changed with host plant and sampling sites.The colonization of AM fungi had no significant correlation with spore density;organic matter and available N had a significant positive correlation with spore density;available N had a significant negative correlation with vesicular colonization of AM fungi.The result suggested that the spore density and vesicular colonization of AM fungi could be one microcosmic index of monitoring and appraising the soil environment in desert ecosystem.
