The effect of soil water stress on photosynthetic and transpiration characters of apricot cultivar Sungold

In this research,The response of photosynthetic and transpiration characters of apricot cultivar Sungold to soil water stress were studied using the Li-COR6400 portable photosynthetic system.The results and conclusions will provide scientific guidance to the development of high efficient water-saving cultivation of apricot.Four soil water treatment levels were used by pot experiments: about 75%(control),55%,40% and 30% of soil water holding capacity.The results are summarized: 1) The response of leaves of apricot cultivar Sungold to light and CO2 changes under soil water stress conditions.Light saturation point,light compensation point,apparent quantum yield,and CO2 saturation point,compensation point and carboxylation efficiency are decreased;2)The photosynthetic rate,transpiration rate,stomatal conductance and water use efficiency(WUE) are also decreased under soil water stress conditions.Those diurnal variation curves change and the regularity of their curves and values are different.
