Overview of Approaches and Applications of Multi-Sensor Image Fusion

XU Ya-wei;XIE Xiao-zhu;Department of Information Engineering,Academy of Armored Force Engineering;  
The concept and basic approaches of multi-sensor image fusion was systematically introduced. It focused on introducing the latest research on pixel level,feature level fusion and on summarizing the characteristics of algorithms. The standards of evaluation of fused images were also introduced briefly. Finally,the unsolved problems of multi-sensor image fusion and the latest development were pointed out.
