Nanometer Magnetite Prepared by Inverse Micelle Microemulsion Method

In this paper, inverse micelle microemulsion method was reported for preparing nanometer magnetite particles. First, the bromide/n-Butyl alcohol/n-Octane/NH3·H2O reverse micelle microemulsion system was built, and then the nanometer magnetite particles was gained from the system. The products were characterized by XRD, IR and TEM. The results indicated that high dispersive single-phase Fe3O4 nanometer particles were synthesized with particle size between 20 and 30nm .
