Effect of La-Zn substitution on the microstructure and properties of Sr-ferrite powders

Sr1-xLaxFe12-xZnxO19(0≤x≤0.3) ferrite powder for injection molded magnet was prepared using conventional ceramic process,and the effect of La-Zn substitution on the microstructure and properties of Sr1-xLaxFe12-x ZnxO19(0≤x≤0.3) powder and bonded magnet from it was investigated.Research showed that La-Zn substitution can restrain the crystal growth and resultantly improve Hcj,but result in decreasing of packing density.Optimum Hcj was achieved for x=0.2 sample.Small part of La-Zn substitution would be beneficial to improve the Br of injection molded magnet.
