Optimized Design of Wind Environment in Building Cluster by Numerical Simulation

The two method for predicting wind environment in building clusters are compared while the importance of wind effect on the comfort of residents is pointed out. As numerical simulation process the advantages of cheap, quickness, having comprehensive information and being unlimited by the actual conditions, it is suggested to apply the method for analyzing airflow inside building cluster. Therefore, an idea about how to optimize wind environment design is proposed with two typical examples presented. It is proved that numerical simulation may be a powerful tool for wind environment designing and analyzing in building clusters.
