The demagogic witchery of Yunnan ethnic groups and their world of desire

ZHU Heshuang & LI Jinlian
There exists a common faith in the demagogic witchery among the ethnic groups of Yunnan Province, and the erotic sorcery is one of the types. Restrained by cognitive ability, many ethnic people have a fantasy that their beloved can be induced and pleased by the demagogic witchery. The erotic sorcery has different forms, including soul-driven witchery, incantation and infatuating medicine (usually used to stimulate the sexual drive of their beloved). Therefore, the demagogic witchery has been influencing the love of the ethnic people of Yunnan Province.
