Effect of different treatments on seed germination rate of three legume shrubs

Seed germination experiments were conducted to determine the effect of different reagents,reagent concentrations and treatment time on the seed germination rate of three shrubs.The results indicated that the seed germination rate could be significantly increased through different treatments.The seed germination rate of Indigofera amblyantha was over 72% after treated with concentrated sulfuric acid for 15 minutes and over 76% after treated with potassium nitrate(100 g/L) for 6 hours.And for Amorpha fruticosa it was over 76% after treated with concentrated sulfuric acid for 15 minutes.The best treatment for the seeds of Lespedeza bicolvr was to be treated with 30% of hydrogen peroxide solution for 30 minutes and the germination rate was 72.7%.It could be concluded that the above-mentioned treatments could be used to improve the seed germination capacity.
