Development of sequence characterized amplified region of plant and its application on grass

Sequence characterized amplified region(SCAR) is a new molecular single-site markers based on PCR.Compared with other markers,it has such merit as low price,high stability,site-specific and so on.It has been applied in molecular assisted selection,linkage analysis,precisely location of target gene,discriminate in cultivars and so on in recent years.After brief review on recent development of SCAR on plant,it was suggested that research should be enhanced on application of SCAR in grass for such purpose as molecular assisted selection,variety evaluation.
