The distribution of soil mites on different land use types in the agro-pasturage ecotone of North China

The distribution characteristics of soil mites was studied under different land use types of agro-pasturage ecotone in North China.The results showed that the dominance soil mites of four land use types was Oribatid mites.Mites individual density tendency was natural pastureleymus chinensis fieldalfalfa fieldaorn field.The number of soil mites on other land use types increased with the extension of plant growth period while corn field had no significantly seasonal variation,in which the soil mites under natural pasture and Leymus chinensis artificial grassland had a clear surface aggregation phenomenon in August and September,soil mites of alfalfa field transferred from the surface to the underlying.Mites had different response to different land use types,differences in quantity and distribution of mites were closely related to soil physico-chemical properties.
