Resistance effects of creeping bentgrass on brown spot disease repeatedly induced by 2,3-BD

The brown spot caused by Rhizoctonia solani is one of the most common diseases on creeping bentgrass plants.2,3-BD(2,3-butanediol)can induce plants to improve disease resistance.The induced effects of 250 μmol/L of 2,3-BD repeatedly on creeping bentgrass plant disease resistance were investigated in this paper,and induction were carried out 1,2,3 and 4 times,respectively.The disease index,induction effect,disease resistant enzymes,chlorophyll and malondialdehyde content were calculated.The results showed that the repeatedly induction of 2,3-BD improved the degree on the disease resistance of creeping bentgrass plants.The disease index was the lowest(24.6%)and induction effect was the highest(65.05%) when plants were induced 2 times.At the same time,the activities of enzymes(superoxide dismutase,peroxidase,catalase and phenylalanine ammonia-lyase)related to disease resistance were higher than other treatments and were significantly higher than control.Accumulation of malondialdehyde was the lowest.The 2,3-BD can improve the disease resistance of creeping bentgrass,and the 2 times of induction showed the best effect.
