The Influence of Reaction Atmosphere on Soot Combustion in Ce_(0.5)Zr_(0.5)O_2 Solid Solution

The catalytic oxidized soot of Ce0.5Zr0.5O2 solid solution was evaluated with the temperature programmed oxidation(TPO) technology and the influences of O2,NO,CO2 and H2O on the process of soot catalytic combustion were researched.The results indicated that the reaction atmosphere had great impacts on the process of soot combustion.The concentration of O2 determined the speed control step of reaction.NO was easy to be oxidized as NO2 which had higher oxidation activity,and hence promoted soot combustion.CO2 blocked the release of CO2 products,and so hindered soot combustion.H2O had no effects on soot combustion.
