Influence of NO_2 on DPF Regeneration Characteristics

Three-dimensional simulation model of diesel particulate filter(DPF) was established by CFD software and the accuracy of model was verified.The mechanism of oxidizing soot by NO2 in DPF regeneration was simulated and calculated.The influences of soot concentration,NO2/NOx ratio,exhaust temperature,air velocity and engine load on NO2 passive regeneration were researched.The results show that the conversion rate of NO2 is higher in the exhaust with higher soot concentration;NO2/NOx ratio is higher,more soot particulate can be removed.The normal exhaust temperature is beneficial to DPF regeneration with NO2.The effect of DPF regeneration is not good under high air velocity.Higher engine load can promote the regeneration reaction of more NO2.
