PHOTOLUMINESCENCE OF NANO-TiO_2

LI Danzhen, ZHEN Yi, FU Xianzhi (Research Institute of Photocatalysis, Fuzhou University, Fuzhou 350002)  
Nano-TiO2 (Anatase) was prepared by the improved sol-gel method and characterized by diffuse reflection spectrum (DRS) and photoluminescence (PL) in present paper. The results showed that optical band gap of the nano-TiO2 was found at 384um and ultraviolet light is strongly absorbed by the nano-TiO2 in the range of 250-400nm. Several intensive luminescence bands were found at 420, 461, 485, 530, 573 and 609um, owing to free excitons, bound excitons. defects and interfacial states of the nano-TiO2.
