Prediction on the oxidation resistance of Ni-based superalloys by multiple linear regression analysis

The oxidation kinetics at 800 ℃ and 900 ℃ of three cast Ni-based superalloys K35, K44 and K46 had been determined by TGA method, respectively. The results showed that isothermal oxidation kinetic curves of three alloys obey the parabolic law at experimental temperature. The constant of oxidation rate is a synthetical result from the coefficient of each alloy element in superalloys. Through the oxidation coefficient of 25 Ni-based superalloys calculated at 900 ℃, the oxidation kinetic equations of three cast Ni-based superalloys, which coincides with the experiment results, can be gained by multiple linear regression analysis method. The relative error of the calculated results of three tested alloys is lower than 13%.
