Total Flavonoid Content in Mulberry Branches of Morus atropurpurea Roxb. and the Factors Correlated With Antioxidation Activity of Flavonoid

In order to study the material base of antioxidation of mulberry branches and develop medicinal function,the flavonoid contents,T-AOC,SHRC and SSARC of mulberry branch from different varieties of Morus atropurpurea Roxb and in different growth seasons were determined by colorimetric method.It revealed that mulberry species,mulberry varieties and seasons had significant influence on total flavonoid contents and its antioxidation activity(P0.05).The influence of chromosomes ploidy of mulberry to total flavonoid contents and the antioxidation activity was not significant(P0.05).The correlation between the flavonoids content and antioxidation of mulberry branch was significantly positive(P0.01).
