Comparison of Toxicities of Pesticide Deltamethrin to Bombyx mori and Bombyx mandarina

The study on the resistance difference of Bombyx mori and Bombyx mandarina to deltamethrin plays important role in the elucidation of resistance mechanism of Bombyx mori to deltamethrin and prevention of lepidoptera pests in mulberry garden.The toxicities of deltamethrin to Bombyx mori and Bombyx mandarina were determined through topical application and leaf dipping method respectively.The results showed that the toxicities of deltamethrin to Bombyx mori and Bombyx mandarina were nearly identical.Both Bombyx mori and Bombyx mandarina were susceptible to deltamethrin,and LD50 were 0.027~0.429 ng/larva.Compared with relatively susceptible Dazao strain of Bombyx mori,the resistance of the strains of Wujiang,Qidong,and Soochow University of Bombyx mandarina to deltamethrin were increased to 10.11~15.89 folds,Laos strain of Bombyx mori was increased to 4.37 folds,and Jingsong and Haoyue strains of Bombyx mori were as susceptible as Dazao strain.
