Research on the Growth Model of Mulberry Leaves in Spring

The area of mulberry leaves were investigated at different growth stage in spring in this paper.The results showed that the growth increment of mulberry leaves in the late spring was larger than that in the early spring due to the increase of air temperature and ground temperature.Moreover,the difference of the growth increment of mulberry leaves was obvious among the present mulberry varieties,that is,Nongsang 12 was better than Lusang 7946 and Yu 71-1.The statistical results showed that the area of mulberry leaves had a relationship with the effective accumulation air temperature and the effective accumulation temperature at a height of 10 cm above ground level described as Richards model or Gompertz model,and a relationship with the growth date described as Richards model or Logistic model.Furthermore,the regression model was developed to describe the correlation between the area and the fresh weight of mulberry leaves.
