Tick is a common in vitro parasite in tussah garden which can seriously affect the health of tussah farmers. In order to understand the occurrence and distribution of ticks in tussah garden, and to establish control and prevention techniques against tick parasitism scientifically, the distribution characteristics and annual occurrence dynamics of Haemaphysalis longicornis in tussah gardens in mountain areas of East Liaoning were investigated and recorded. More than 8 000 ticks were collected at the foot of the mountain, forest margin, tussah garden, surface plant, bushwood, oak forest, etc. Among them, ticks distributed mostly in surface plants and bushwoods at the foot of the mountain, and the maximum density of ticks was found in the range of 1 meter from both sides of the working passage. In one year,May to September was the period of bulk emergence. Below 0. 5 m was the main height for ticks adhering to the human body.Ticks are widely distributed in tussah garden during the spring and autumn period of tussah silkworm rearing, which has a great impact on the health of farmers.
