Quality Evaluation of Muscardine Silkworm by HPLC Fingerprinting

In order to evaluate the quality of muscardine silkworm scientifically,HPLC fingerprinting method of muscardine silkworm was established and 13 batches of muscardine silkworm were comparatively analyzed. Results showed that fingerprints of the 13 batches of muscardine silkworm had 11 obvious chromatographic peaks,among which four chromatographic peaks were identified as rutin,porphyrin,quercetin and kaempferol as compared with the standard samples. There were significant differences between the 13 batches of muscardine silkworm,with only 5 common peaks,and the peak areas of the 5 common peaks varied greatly with a relative standard deviation( RSD) ranged from 43. 31% to 90. 62%. Based on the common pattern R,the similarity of the characteristic fingerprints of muscardine silkworm was calculated. Eight samples' similarity was greater than 0. 90,one was between 0. 85 and 0. 90 and four were less than 0. 85. The results indicated that the HPLC fingerprinting method of muscardine silkworm had a strong specificity and good stability,which can faithfully and comprehensively reflect the characteristics of muscardine silkworm. The quality of the marketed muscardine silkworm was uneven,and their composition and content of chemical components were significantly different.
