TRANSFERING SYNTHETIC ANTIBACTERIAL PEPTIDE GENE FROM CHINESE OAK SILKWORM INTO MULBERRY PLANT BY USING Ti PLASMID FROM AGROBACTERIUM TUMEF ACIENS

Transfering of mulberry plant ,Morus alba by infection of Ti plasmid from Agrobac-terium tumefaciens was studied. Plants selected on kanamycin containing medium wereconfirmed to express the introduced 35S-Synthetic antibacterial peptide gene(ABG)fromChinese oak silkworm, Antheraea pernyi.The introduced gene was obtained by fusionconsisted of CaMV 35S promoter with ABG. Using the kanamycin resistant gene in Co24plasmid. The mulberry leaf discs of advantition bud formed from infect tissues were se-lected on the MS medium containing kanamycin at 25μg/ml.When they were transferedto the selection medium at 4一5days,the nopalin synthetic enzyme activity was detectedby electrophoresis. The transformation was confirmed in 40 days with kanamycin resis-tance by DNA dot blotting. The results showed the synthetic antibacterial peptide genewas transfered into mulberry plant.
