Construction of Expression Vector for Glycinin Gene and Its Transformation to Morus alba

In order to investigate the possibility of improving mulberry quality by transgenic techniques,expression vector carrying glycinin subunit AlaBlb gene was constructed and transferred into Agrobacterium tumefaciens. And then,leaf disk and stem apex of mulberry were used as receptor materials of genetic transformation induced by Agrobacterium. The regeneration plantlets with kanamycin resistance were obtained from these materials.Results by PCR indicated that AlaBlb subunit gene was transformed into mulberry plant.
