HAN Wen-yan1, RUAN Jian-yun1, LIN Zhi2, WU Xun1, XU Yun-wen1, SHI Yuan-zhi1, MA Li-feng1 (1. Tea Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences; 2. Key Laboratory of Tea Chemical Engineering,Ministry of Agriculture, Hangzhou 310008, China)
Systematic study was conducted to develop tea speciality fertilizers during last 10 years. The results showed that the major nutritional limiting factors in tea soils including the low and imbalanced supply of nutrients, low content of organic matter and increasing tendency of soil acidification. Based on soil analysis and field investigation in varied type of tea gardens, 12 soil nutrient diagnosis indexes on the contents of organic matter and total nitrogen were proposed for the good quality and high yield of tea. Two kinds of tea speciality compound fertilizers and one bioorganic fertilizer and their application technology were developed. These fertilizers showed the soil-improving, yield-increasing and quality-improving effects.
