A STUDY ON REJUVENATION OF LEYUMS CHINENSIS RANGELAND BY SOIL LOOSEING

ABSTRACT Leyums rangland deteriates due to compaction of soil. Three years after soil loosening, the conditions have improved. Soil water content has increased 11.2% ~18.4%, Soil compaction has reduced 89%, therefore, grass production has improved. The increase in grass production was 49. 8, 24. 5 and 93. 9% , rdspectively, for the first, second and third year after the treatment, Analyses show a significant econnmic benefit from rejuvenation of the rangeland.
