Xing Fu(Range Scince Department,Zhelimu Animal Husbandry College,Inner Mongolia, Tongliao,028042)  
The underground phytomass of Filifolium sibiricum+Stipa baicalensis grassland was determined by "trench mathod" at regular intervals in order to study the distribution,seasonal dynamics,growth rates and related factors of underground phytomass of Filifolium sibiricum+Stipa baicalensis grassland. The results showed that underground phytomass by 81. 28%distributed in 0~20cm soil layer.The curve of seasonal changes of underground phytomass appears" U "in shape.The underground phytomass was higher in the early spring and late autumn,and low valley appeared on the late July and early August. And net productivity of underground part was 598.56g/m2·a,annual turn over value was 0.27.The rate between aboveground part and underground part was 1:8.2.At last stage of growth,efficiency of net accumulation of living roots was the highest,the vigorous growth of aboveground part had great dependence on the reseve substance of underground part and the developing degree of undetground part was inlower level.
