Biological nitrogen fixation and intensive grassland livestock husbandry

JIANG Wei~1, GUAN Xiu-qing~2, YU Jing-zhao~2(1. College of Life Science, Jilin University, Changchun 130061, China; 2. Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Science, Beijing 100093, China)
Grassland biological nitrogen fixation is not only an important part of nitrogen cycling in the grassland ecological system, but also important in intensive grassland livestock husbandry establishment and in recovery of degraded grassland. In grassland ecological systems, rhizobial nitrogen fixation in common leguminous plants is an important biological nitrogen fixation mode. Nitrogen fixation by bacteria themselves deserves more attention, and the associative nitrogen fixation pathway is a biological nitrogen fixation pathway that has an extensive application future.
