Recent Progress in Lithium Ion Rechargeable Battery

General Research Institute for Non -Ferrous Metals,Beijing 100088Yang Yuchung  
A review with 12 references was give on the status of the research and development of lithium ion secondary cells. The brief introduction and main characteristics of this battery were outlined. Carbon was used as negative electrode and could effectively prevent the dendritic deposition of lithium metal from causing the internal short circuit when the battery was charging. So the cycle life and energy density of this battery were significantly improved and the miniaturization could be realized.
