Design of an Airborne Phase-array Radar Signal Simulator

An airborne phase-array radar signal simulator which bases on PC+DSP structure is introduced. The simulator is implemented by mixed means of software and hardware. Based on the radar operating parameters and the user-defined radar echo environment, the proposed target and clutter data are calculated in advance by a personal computer. After the dada is uploaded to SDRAM of the simulator,the signal generation circuits compose the real time signal. The signal has four output forms, which are digital signal, video signal, radio signal and antenna signal.
